Our Story

Marin Design & Build was founded by Licensed General Contractor Jake Maxson and Lead Designer Tina Maxson. After receiving their bachelor's degrees at UC Davis, and working as a Firefighter and Nurse, they moved back to Marin County in 2019 where they began renovating fixer uppers. They learned the importance of flow and function when making a house a place that captures connection. Marin Design & Build was fueled by their passion for helping people create bespoke and quality spaces that are built to last.
